Odell Thurman, a Bengals linebacker, will not be playing for the Bengals again this season.
His petition for reinstatement was denied by the NFL and he will be suspended without pay.
Thurman was set to receive $435,000 for this year. He will be able to petition after the 2007 season for reinstatement for the 2008 season.
Thurman was set to be the star rookie middle linebacker for 2005 as the 2nd round pick from University of Georgia. Yet, he was suspended for the first four games last year for skipping a drug test and then for the full season after he was charged with at DUI. This all goes along with the NFL's enforced Substance Abuse Policy.
