The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, will speak at Columbia University on Monday despite numerous criticisms from different sectors of the population.

Ahmadinejad is coming to New York to attend a meeting with the United Nations General Assembly.

He is to have a question and answer session with Columbia University faculty and students as part of their World Leaders Forum.

Many citizens are outraged at Columbia for allowing this. The Iranian President has been very negative towards the U.S. and publicly states his hatred of the Jews and that the Holocaust did not happen along with other discretions. Political figures and Jewish Groups have spoken out against the meeting.

Ahmadinejad also requested to lay a wreath at Ground Zero in New York but was denied by police due to construction and security issues. Many families of September 11th victims were outraged.
