Hurricane Flossie, a category four storm, is approaching Hawaii today.
Currently, the hurricane has wind speeds up to 135 mph. The storm is expected to pass 70 miles south of the island of Hawaii late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
The storm should weaken to a category one storm with 74+ mph as it reaches cooler waters closer to the islands.
Yet, hurricanes can be very unpredictable and a slight change in wind, temperature, etc. could send the storm into Hawaii.
