Beijing, China started celebrations Wednesday for the Olympics, which will take place in the city exactly one year from now.
Chinese citizens and Olympic officials celebrated in Tiananmen Square at exactly 8:08 p.m. and 8 seconds ( 8 is a lucky number in Chinese culture).
Beijing is set to hold the most expensive Olympics in history and is undergoing heavy construction and enforcing rules among the citizens.
